Day 1 -

Visit of St. Giovanni Rotondo


Guided tour of the city and the holy places: Padre Pio’s Sanctuary (Sanctuary, Cell, Tomb, Confessional, Stigmata Crucifix. Visit of Padre Pio’s House Mary Pyle (where his parents lived and died).

Afternoon: guided tour of Monte St. Angelo: visit of the Baptistery of the Church St. Maria Maggiore, the medieval Old Town, The Cave of St. Michael.

Evening: Return to S. Giovanni Rotondo, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Visit of Trani and Castel del Monte

Visit of the Romanesque Cathedral, Castello Svevo, the old town, the touristic port and the Jewish quarter "Giudecca".

Visit of Castel del Monte

Visit of the Castle of Frederick II , built in the thirteenth century by the Emperor Frederick II of Apulia, in the homonymous hamlet of the town of Andria and distinguished itself because of its octagonal shape, which made him unique classifying it as a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Day 3 - Visit of Bari and Ostuni

Morning: Visit inside the Norman-Swabian Castle and the Old Bari, located near the marina. Do not miss a visit to the Cathedral of St. Sabino and the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, patron saint of the city.

Afternoon: Visit of Ostuni.

Visit of the center of Ostuni and the Cathedral.

Along the Cathedral you can admire the quaint old town known as the "Land", from the typical white houses. Continuing will find the historic buildings of Ostuni, including building Ayroldi, Siccoda palace, palace Bisantizzi-Lopez y Royo and the oldest church in Ostuni: St. James in Compostela, the Church of San Vito Martire and the Co-Cathedral Basilica.

Check-in square and visit the Cathedral of the ecclesiastical center of the city.

In the square you can admire the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and the Palace of the Seminary joined the arch bridge Scoppa.

The course will end with narrow streets and terraces from where to take breathtaking photos.

Day 4 - Visit of Lecce and Otranto

The route starts from Porta Napoli (or Arch of Charles V), one of the three gates of the city to follow via Palmieri where we meet the Paisiello Theatre.

Then will be the time of the Basilica of the Holy Cross, the emblem of Lecce Baroque with the adjacent Palace of Celestine.

It continues with a visit to Piazza Sant 'Oronzo where you can see the Roman Amphitheatre, the' Obelisk of St. Horace, the Seat of the Nobles, the church of San Marco and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

The route proceeds to the Church of St. Irene.

Continue to Piazza Duomo, which, with the Cathedral, the Bishop's Palace, the Episcopal seminary and the Bell Tower, one of the highest in Europe, is a real town church.

Afternoon: Continue to Otranto.

Otranto, the most eastern of Italy is a town of Salento surrounded by centuries of history, as evidenced by the presence of the beautiful Cathedral, which still preserves the skulls of the nineteenth century martyrs, its patrons, the Castello Aragonese and Byzantine frescoes by the Greek church dedicated to St. Peter.

After a walk in the old town we drive along the Adriatic coast to admire the beautiful Cave of bauxite, a natural spectacle unique, characterized by the emerald green of the pond which reflects the red quarries and the earth from which aluminum is extracted .

Day 5 - Visit of St. Maria di Leuca

Breakfast in hotel and departure for S. Maria di Leuca.

Visit to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Leuca, visited every year by pilgrims and devotees.

Then visit and tasting of local products at one of the old nineteenth-century villas, located on the waterfront.

Among the most beautiful villas of Santa Maria di Leuca remember La Meridiana, Mellacqua Villa, Sangiovanni Villa, Villa De Francesco, Villa Pia, Daniel Villa, Villa Episcopo, Villa Colossus. Close to the seafront you can see the features coffin, typical structures built on a cliff next to the sea. Usually every villa had its own little tub of stone or wood in which we could undress and bathe in complete privacy.
