The delightful Romanesque cathedral, dating back to 1088 and boasting extensive 12th century floor mosaics, is another highlight that should not be missed.

The two seas meet off the Cape of Santa Maria di Leuca, finis terrae as it was called in ancient times, the tip of Italy’s heel where Greece and Albania can be seen on a clear day.
