In the Megalithic Garden there are eighteen Menhirs and seven Dolmens, in addition to many other sites which have not been studied yet, whose remnants represent a huge and significant heritage for the research of the first settlements in Salento, the last ones going up to the pre-Christian age.

Evening: return, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2 – Visit of the Hundred Stones in Patù

The extreme edge of Capo di Leuca is Patù, city on a hill slope at 123 meters above the sea level. Its name derives from the Greek “pathos” (pain), in memory of the sufferings felt by the ancient city of Veretum. San Gregorio was the ancient port city of Veretum.
Great suggestion rises by the megalithic temple Centopietre (hundred stones), built with monolithic boulders from Veretum. There are many attractions ready to enchant who decides to visit this small village. First of all, the church of San Michele Arcangelo, other important religious building is the Church of San Giovanni.
