How to reach Salento

Salento, being a peninsula, is not a crossing point, but it is easily reachable.


Take the A4 highway (Adriatica) until the exit Bari Nord, then continue on the highway Brindisi-Lecce. Once you get in Lecce you will find all the information for the desired destination: Gallipoli, Lecce, Otranto, Galatina or Santa Maria di Leuca. If you arrive from Taranto, you should reach Brindisi and from there continue to Lecce. If you want to enjoy the panorama the Ionian coast will take you to Gallipoli and Ugento through the Park of Porto Selvaggio.

Salento is easy to reach by the bus Marozzi ( that has the Terminal in Lecce, from there you can easily reach all other destinations.

Regular connections from Rome, Milan, Torino, Verona Bologna to Brindisi-Lecce. Visit the official site of Italian Railways (Trenitalia) for information, timetables and online booking. If you want to take the train to get to other destinations use the Ferrovie Sud-Est or the shuttle bus. You can also rent a car that which you can pick up at the station.


The two major airports in Apulia are Bari Palese and Brindisi Casale. Bari Palese "Karol Wojtyla" airport is an international airport, 200 km far, featuring all the modern conveniences of air travel, such as duty-free shops, baggage storage, vehicle rental outlets, Internet points and information services. Brindisi "Papola Casale" airport is the closest to Salento, only 50 km far from Lecce. We provide transfer service.
